I can’t believe it will be Christmas in just a few days! This holiday season has gone by so very quick…..I’ve been so busy and finally it’s coming to a slow down. I’m looking so forward to just spending a few weeks with my kids home…making some Christmas memories! Hopefully there won’t be too much bickering or fighting in those memories to be..lol.
Anyhow, I wanted to share with you my Christmas Porch this year. I’ve always loved to decorate our front porch, no matter where we have lived. This little porch of ours is neatly tucked away from the wind and rain, so I can safely place items out here that I treasure…
I’ve really loved to add some color to this entry…with the small striped reds here and there. I also have the same bows and fresh greenery on our garage lamps and mailbox but I totally forgot to take pictures of it all….let’s blame the mom brain for that one…k. Lol
An old antique rocking chair has its spot over here in the corner. A few little pillows to bring in some cozyness…although…it’s waaay too cold to sit out there right now…but..it’s all about “staging”…right? Lol…
My porch Decor has never really been something I put tons of thought into…and that’s not me at all…{I like to call myself a psycho planner}…maybe I should’ve, but for now I like to just grab whatever’s not being used inside the house at the moment and bring it out here. Still keeping true to some of my favorite things.
Here is my little “Nisse” aka Danish elf sitting in the cutest little garden “lean-to”… I kind of like him there…I also filled my empty terra-cotta pots with pine cones and used fresh greenery wherever I could .
Ahhh…and than there is my all season “welcome” sign. I hand made this a few years ago, with a sharpie and some white paint and it’s still one of my favorites to date. I tied fresh cider pine into a swag and hung it on the back of the sign with some jute. A candy cane made out of ticking fabric and a bit of red berries…for the perfect farmhouse feel.
Can you see the garland hanging at the bottom of my transom window? It’s lit and my little tealight houses are a perfect backdrop to it. Take a peek on the other side of the window here…
I tied a few red striped ribbons with burlap wired ribbon and it makes for a fuller bow…I’ve really enjoyed these fun ribbons really.
Well…it’s simple but it’s fun and welcoming and that’s what matters eh!
Merry Christmas to you all and thank you for stopping by my little Creative Corner…
your comments and likes really mean so much!
Oxoxo
