Hello friends! I’ve teamed up with some lovely blogger ladies for a bit of Easter inspiration. We are featuring Table settings. There will be so much inspiration to be found! It’s so fun for me to be included with these sweet bloggers.
At the bottom of this post you will find the next blog to check out!
I’m so glad you are here visiting with me… And I hope that I can help in adding a bit of Easter Table Inspiration for your own home …
Welcome to my little Easter nook
For this little setting I gathered what I had around the house, and honestly just threw this together….I did have a few newer items that I was able to utilize here. What helped was, the night before, I set all of the items out that i wanted to feature on this table. That way I could see if it all “matched” and complimented each other.
We where in need of some new glass cups and a water pitcher, so that was the added “umph” it needed i think . For this little corner of my kitchen I had 3 main statement pieces and then used “fillers” for the rest.
Statement piece # 1
{Grandma’s Tablecloth}
On special occasions like Easter, I like to use sentimental things. I am one of the most sentimental people when it comes to heirlooms and such. Anything that used to belong to my Grandparents tugs at my heart-strings so much that it’s nearly impossible for me to part with them. This time I’m using this table-cloth that my sweet Grandmother made. She started it in…wait for it…1975! About 3 years ago she gifted it to me, as a house-warming present. She handed it to me, and she shared with me a looooong story of how she bought the fabric in Chile and started embroidering a flower here and there…every time she had a spare moment…well, it took her 38 years to finish it. We were both on the floor, tears streaming in laughter about what this little tablecloth lived through. “When I started it I never imagined it would take soooo long …and that I was going to eventually give it to one of my Grandchildren…lol”.
So I started with the table-cloth as my first inspiration piece and then went from there…
Statement piece #2
{botanical’s & a door}
I knew I wanted to bring some more texture into this bright space, so an old antique door made its way in here with a vintage inspired botanical print. This print has so much what I love about spring on it…crocuses of all kinds! I came across it on a spontaneous visit to the Decor store Home ….
Statement piece #3 Plate Rack Ring
I knew I wanted to use this for my round table, and my sweet sister hooked me up with this one. I decided to flip it upside down and it worked wonderfully as a type of stand. I LOVE it!
“Fillers“
After finding your statement pieces (mine are the three mentioned above), than it’s time to find fillers.
I used some faux flowers like hyacinths, tulips, green and white hops. I also used green glass, a bit of zinc pots, and some wood accents like these, candle holders.
A couple of DIY items I added as well where these bakers twine eggs and a jute ruffle tablerunner. Also an easy thing to do for your silverware is to wrap it in a small piece of wired ribbon. Easy peasy!
A few sweet little pillows from Linen & Ivory just add a bit of cozy to this space.
Lastly I added a bit of greenery and white hops flowers to my chandelier.
Now its time for me to come up with a fancy meal to go along with this setting…. don’t ya think? How does an Easter Brunch sound? I better get on that planning…stat!
